It's the End of the World As We Know It

It was a struggle as we shot sunrise at Burleigh Heads on this Saturday morning in April -- should we take photos of the brilliant orange sunrise, or look in the opposite direction and shoot the crazy cloud descending over Surfers Paradise? In the end, we got a few of both...and I'm really happy I turned away from the sunrise for a little bit, since you don't see clouds like this every day. It reminded me of the one of the alien ships from Independence Day -- but luckily it didn't stop over Q1 and spectacularly blow it up!
