Please read these terms and conditions carefully so that you fully understand the key points around Kristin Repsher Photography’s workshops. If you have any questions at all regarding anything then please contact me.

Group Photography Workshops

Your contract is with Kristin Repsher Photography.

Full payment of workshop costs (as listed on workshop details page) is required at the time of booking. Your reservation will only be confirmed once full payment has been received; until this point, your place on the workshop is available for others to book. Kristin Repsher Photography will not expand group numbers to accommodate you if your place is booked before you are able to make full payment.

All fares published supersede all prices previously advertised. Kristin Repsher Photography reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received within the specified time. Prices include all Government Goods and Services Tax (where applicable).

Kristin Repsher Photography reserves the right to make changes to their itineraries or cancel any trip, including a guaranteed trip, at any time prior to departure if something beyond the control of Kristin Repsher Photography deems it necessary; including insufficient participation numbers, natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, weather, cultural conditions or other external events. It is imperative that passengers check the most up-to-date information from our website just prior to their trip departing.

Kristin Repsher Photography will endeavour to run workshops in all weather conditions; workshops will only be cancelled if Environment Canada (or the relevant weather service in the country a tour is operating in) issues a weather alert prior to the start of a tour.

If Kristin Repsher Photography cancels a trip on which you are holding a fully paid booking, you will receive credit towards a future workshop in the amount paid for the cancelled workshop. If you live more than 250km away from the workshop location, you will have the choice between a credit to a future workshop or a full refund (less a 10% admin fee).

All workshop participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to the start of the workshop. Please familiarise yourself with this waiver prior to the start of the workshop.

If you are refused admission to a workshop due to not following outlined rules (including, but not limited to, required clothing and footwear), you will not receive a refund. If you are more than 10 minutes late to the start of a workshop or are otherwise uncontactable on the day of a workshop, the tour will depart and you will not receive a refund. It is up to you to ensure you have familiarised yourself with workshop details prior to the start of the workshop.

The company is not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking such as visas, vaccinations, accommodation, or flights. The company is also not responsible for any personal belongings brought on a workshop; it is up to the participant to ensure adequate insurance cover for these items.

Cancellation Policy

Attendees can cancel up to 7 days prior to the start time of their tour and receive a refund of 90% of their original payment.
Refunds will not be made for cancellations less than 7 days prior to the start time of a booked workshop.
Refunds will not be made for any reason if a participant is a no-show at a workshop. This includes late arrivals.
Change of date will be considered if the request is made more than 7 days prior to the start of a workshop and if there is availability on the new date.
Workshops will run in all weather conditions and will only be cancelled if Environment Canada has issued a weather alert prior to the start of the workshop.
No refund will be made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason. This includes refund of accommodation, transport, sightseeing, activities, meals or services not utilised.

Minimum and Maximum Numbers

Group tours will be operated with a minimum of one guest. They will not be cancelled due to inadequate numbers as long as there is one paid guest.

Kristin Repsher Photography restricts guest numbers to a maximum of 6 per tour to ensure a small group atmosphere and to ensure that each participant receives personalised tuition.

Prior to making any travel arrangements such as flights, customers are required to receive confirmation from Kristin Repsher photography that their reservation is confirmed on the chosen departure date, once any other booking requests are processed. In this case, confirmation is in the form of a confirmation sent via email by Kristin Repsher Photography.

Private Photography Workshops

Your contract is with Kristin Repsher Photography.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of your workshop costs is required at the time of booking. An invoice for the balance of your booking will be issued 5 weeks prior to your departure date and will be due 1 week prior to the departure date. Your reservation is confirmed once the deposit has been received, but will be cancelled if full payment is not received 1 week prior to departure.

Kristin Repsher Photography reserves the right to make changes to their itineraries or cancel any trip, including a guaranteed trip, at any time prior to departure if something beyond the control of Kristin Repsher Photography deems it necessary; including natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, weather, cultural conditions or other external events. It is imperative that passengers check their email for any workshop updates from the organiser just prior to their trip departing.

Policies for All Workshops

Age/Child Policy

To travel with us we require that you are at the minimum age limit of 13 years at time of travel. People of any age are welcome on our tours. We recommend that you are relatively fit and healthy, but unless otherwise advised, most locations will be within easy walking distance of the car. If you have any concerns surrounding your age and whether or not our workshops will be suitable for you, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to discuss your options.

Passports & Visas

All travellers must ensure that they have the documents required to be allowed into the country the workshop is being held in. Unless you are a citizen of the country the workshop is being held in, this will require a valid passport for international travel that has at least 6 months validity from the date of return. It is important that you ensure that you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities specific to the country or countries that the expedition runs in. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.

Luggage Limits

There will be space for a camera bag, tripod, and personal bag with additional clothing/other personal items on each tour. If you need to bring any additional large bags, please contact me prior to the departure of your workshop.

Itineraries

Itineraries are subject to alteration without notice and intended as a guide only. Alterations may come about due to road or weather conditions, strikes, public holidays, local festivals and cultural or other reasons. Due to the potential nature of the terrain and remote areas, weather fluctuations can adversely affect road conditions that may necessitate alterations to itinerary with little or no notice. Kristin Repsher Photography can give no guarantee as to the exact finish time of the workshop and will not be held liable for missed services (transportation, etc) booked in the 2 hours following a tour. Kristin Repsher Photography will not be liable for failure of any other services or attractions beyond its control.

Smoking

You must adhere to laws within the country of the expedition regarding public smoking. Smoking will not be permitted on workshops operated within National Parks due to the possibility of littering and the fire hazard it entails. Smoking is not permitted in any vehicle used by Kristin Repsher Photography. For the comfort and health of the group, smoking is not permitted in indoor or confined outdoor group situations and activities.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory and is solely your responsibility. Given the potential high value of camera equipment you will bring, it is also solely your responsibility to purchase travel insurance that adequately covers all of your valuables in all expedition situations & locations.

Exclusion of Liability

Whilst Kristin Repsher Photography will take all reasonable steps to provide an enjoyable tour, it accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment experienced by passengers due to circumstances beyond its control.
Kristin Repsher Photography will take all reasonable steps to provide effective photography education during workshops. Kristin Repsher Photography does not accept responsibility for negative experiences in relation to subjective matters such as educational value and perceived quality of images taken by clients.
Some workshops include the services of operators other than Kristin Repsher Photography e.g. hoteliers, airlines and optional tour excursions, which are not under the direct control of Kristin Repsher Photography, and whilst Kristin Repsher Photography takes all reasonable care in selecting these operators, it cannot accept responsibility for those operators’ conduct or the conduct of their representative employees or agents or for any ramifications of that conduct.
On workshops including activities such as trekking, passengers accept that degrees of risk are involved.
No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of Kristin Repsher Photography, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers. Kristin Repsher Photography will not be responsible for expenses resulting in such persons being precluded from completing the tour.
