The God of the Sky
When you're watching the northern lights light up the Arctic sky, it's very easy to understand why people used to believe that they were the work of the gods. In particular, the Sami believed that the northern lights were the souls of their ancestors coming back to dance across the sky. How can you not believe them when shapes like this one appear? It looks to me like a hooded man flying across the sky with one arm extended and one at his side...what do you see?
