Summer Nights at Nordkapp

Summer Nights at Nordkapp

The clouds light up with the midnight sun at North Cape (Nordkapp), which at 71ºN is the northernmost point in continental Europe (if you ignore the slightly-less-dramatic peninsula of Knivskjelodden nearby). I was so lucky to be able to see this after two days of heavy cloud and rain on the island of Magerøya. The sun broke through the clouds for no more than 20 minutes, and I was driving for more than 10 minutes of that. When I finally got there, I had to sprint to one of the lookout points to get a shot before everything turned grey again!
