The Aurora Hunters

The Aurora Hunters

One year ago today, on St. Patrick's Day 2013, a massive solar storm lit up the skies above Finnish Lapland. I was lucky enough to have booked a tour that night to Katkavaara, a nature reserve far away from the lights of any city, so we had an unadulterated view of the night sky. It was an experience that is beyond words.
