The Smell of Money in the Morning
Winter in the Lofoten Islands can be an assault on the nose with all of the cod hanging out to dry around the fishing villages...but the locals don't mind because it's the "smell of money." I loved the wintery light I had during my walk around the island of Svinøya; the clouds over the sun made the already weak sun even more golden.
